Tatyana Ovsienko is an Honored Artist of Russia, a singer from the Mirage group, which was extremely popular at the turn of the 80s and 90s. Since 1991, she began her solo career, creating her own group “Voyage”. The most popular songs were “Captain”, “Ring”, “Beyond the Pink Sea”.

Childhood and youth
Tatyana was born in the fall of 1966 into the family of Nikolai Ovsienko and Anna Galagoza from Kyiv.

At first, the family huddled in one dorm room, but when Victoria was born, the parents tried their best to earn money for a cooperative apartment. Dad began to travel more often and was not at home for a long time. Mom, in order to keep Tanya busy, signed her up for figure skating.
Until she was ten years old, she went to the ice skating rink in the morning, but classes began to affect her performance: the girl at school simply fell asleep in class. Then it was decided to enroll her in the swimming and gymnastics sections so that the girl would not have to get up too early. In addition, Tatyana studied in the piano class at a music school and was a member of the children’s group “Solnyshko”, which she once spoke about in an interview:
Creativity was not alien to me - as a child I sang in a group, we were even invited to Moscow, filmed in the popular TV show “Merry Notes”.
After graduating from school, Ovsienko, despite her mother’s persuasion to enroll in a pedagogical university, decided to master a more “grainful” profession and entered the only hotel management technical school in the entire USSR in Kiev, from which she graduated with a degree in administration.
As one of the best students, after completing her studies, she was assigned to the Bratislava Hotel in Kyiv, where only foreigners were accommodated, since it was part of the all-Union hotel chain Intourist.

A big festival was taking place in Kyiv, when the musical group “Electroclub” came to the city on tour with soloists Irina Allegrova and Viktor Saltykov.
The hotels were full, Ovsienko spent a long time persuading the director to place the group in Bratislava, and in gratitude they gave her counter-stamps for the concert. She went there with her fiancé, musician Vyacheslav Gromadsky, who later became a keyboard player in Mirage. When Slava began touring with the group, Tanya decided to travel with him to be close. She became acquainted with all the members of the group and became friends with lead singer Natalya Vetlitskaya.

It was Natasha, seeing Ovsienko rushing back and forth, who suggested that she become a costume designer at Mirage in order to be legally close to her lover. Tatyana resigned from Bratislava and got a new job. Later she recalled:
I settled in an amazing place - in an abandoned mansion on Begovaya, next to a gas station. On the ground floor of this building there was an accounting department for some factory, and in the attic musicians who dreamed of conquering the capital with their creativity found refuge. When the inhabitants of the attic combined their efforts, real jazz or rock concerts turned out!.. “Mirage” was constantly touring, and I rarely spent the night there, but I was always happy about every day off so that I could again hear the music living in the mansion on Begovaya.
The end of 1988 became a turning point in Ovsienko’s life. “Mirage” was on tour in Barnaul when Vetlitskaya was taken to the hospital by an ambulance right before the concert. The group's producer Andrei Lityagin, not wanting to return money for tickets sold, decided to put Ovsienko on stage, who knew the entire repertoire. And although Tanya only opened her mouth to the soundtrack (it is known that all the songs of “Mirage” were recorded by the “conservative” singer Margarita Sukhankina), the audience greeted her warmly, not noticing either the replacement of the artist or the fact that she did not sing live.

Having recovered, Natalya decided to pursue a solo career and Ovsienko remained in Mirage as a singer. Having heard the offensive words of Lityagin, who called Tanya a “fat cow,” the girl took charge of herself, lost 18 kilograms, after which she changed her image - she cut her hair and began performing in short leather skirts and shorts. She actively took vocal and dance lessons.
