Many are surprised that such an operation exists in principle. However, she is more popular than you think! At LINLINE, breast reduction is performed in different ways.

Types of breast reduction

There are several options depending on the severity of the problem and the desired result:

  • Liposuction. It is used when it is enough to remove only fatty tissue to reduce volume.
  • Removal of glandular tissue. When liposuction does not help, it is also necessary to remove part of the glandular tissue. Often, the doctor removes fatty and glandular tissue together.
  • Breast reduction + mastopexy (breast lift). Very often, these types of mammoplasty are performed together, since large breasts always sag under their own weight. And if you just remove the volume, it will become smaller, but will remain saggy. Therefore, in addition to reduction, it is also necessary to tighten the breasts. The doctor removes excess skin and fixes the mammary glands in the place where they should be. If necessary, the areolas are also moved to a higher position.

Mammoplasty

The condition of the breast, its shape and size, play an important role in a woman’s life. As our plastic surgeons Evgeniy Golodnev and Nikolay Shumaev believe: the female breast is the most beautiful part of the body, thanks to this approach, the results of our plastic surgeons impress not only the patients themselves, but also those around them.

The appearance of the mammary glands directly depends on the woman’s heredity, previous diseases, surgeries, pregnancy and lactation, age, nutrition, weight, and lifestyle.

Mammoplasty is a special area of aesthetic surgery designed to help cope with a number of acquired or congenital defects, as well as correct the volume and shape of the mammary glands (both breast reduction and breast enlargement)

If you want to enlarge your breasts in Tyumen:

Today, the safest and most effective method of plastic breast augmentation is endoprosthetics. Modern advances in high technology have made it possible to create a wide variety of implants that differ in size, shape and shell texture. This makes it possible to individually select an implant for each patient.

Modern implants have a lifetime warranty. It is also worth noting that after breast surgery, the possibility of breastfeeding the child remains; the composition of mother’s milk does not change.

Our center uses gel-silicone implants with a safe cohesive gel and shell. The country of the laboratory and manufacturer, volume, and model of the implant are discussed with the surgeon at the initial appointment, and the priorities and wishes of the patient are also taken into account.

Breast augmentation surgery is performed under general anesthesia and lasts 1-2 hours.

There are several methods for performing breast augmentation surgery. The choice of incision and implant location are determined by the surgeon, based on the specific clinical situation and taking into account the wishes of the patient.

About breast reduction:

In case of sagging breasts, a breast lift or breast reduction is possible (at the patient’s request), which will restore the bust to its former elasticity and beauty.

Depending on the problem, mammoplasty surgery may include:

  • Mastopexy (breast lift)
  • Breast augmentation with implants (mammoprosthetics)
  • Mastopexy with simultaneous mammoprosthetics
  • Reduction mammoplasty is aimed at reducing the volume of the mammary glands
  • Lipofilling of mammary glands

Where is the incision made for breast reduction?

Periareolar method.

An incision is made along the edge of the areola. This gives the highest possible aesthetic result. But it is used only with minimal intervention.

Vertical method.

An incision is made along the edge of the areola and down from the areola to the inframammary fold. Used for moderate hypertrophy.

Anchor method.

An incision is made along the edge of the areola, then down to the inframammary fold and in a semicircle under the fold. This cut resembles the shape of an anchor. The method is used for high-grade breast hypertrophy.

During breast reduction surgery, the doctor removes the areas where stretch marks have formed. Thus, after the operation, the breasts will not only be tightened, but also absolutely smooth, without flaws.

Rehabilitation after breast reduction

After surgery, a bandage is applied to the chest. You will spend 24 hours in a hospital under the supervision of doctors. Then you will go home, but you will need bed rest for a few more days. On days 3-4, you can gradually return to normal life. The bandage is replaced with compression garments. It must be worn for 4 weeks.

Physical activity should be kept to a minimum, as should tanning, visiting swimming pools, baths, and saunas. Air travel is prohibited. These restrictions are imposed for 2-3 months, depending on the speed of healing of the sutures.

In the vast majority of cases, after breast reduction surgery, a woman does not lose her ability to breastfeed.

Scars after breast reduction

LINLINE plastic surgeons will apply the suture as carefully as possible. But it is impossible to predict how it will behave during healing, because the formation of scar tissue depends on the individual characteristics of the body. And if the scars on the areola and under the breasts are practically invisible, then the vertical seam from the areola to the inframammary fold will in any case leave a mark. What to do? LINLINE offers the RecoSMA laser scar removal procedure. With its help, scars of various types are removed, including post-operative scars. The action of the laser is aimed strictly at scar tissue, the laser beam stimulates skin cells to renew, and new healthy skin is formed in the damaged area.

Breast augmentation

The main questions that the patient poses to the surgeon:

How to enlarge breasts? How to enlarge the mammary glands? How to make breasts beautiful? How to get perfect breasts? What to do if you have small breasts? Does breast enlargement cream help? Breasts after breastfeeding – mammoplasty or breast augmentation? What is breast augmentation?

Breast augmentation operations using special silicone implants (endoprostheses) have been performed since the early 60s. To date, more than two million women around the world have improved their breast shape through this type of surgery. Today, all over the world, breast replacement is recognized as the most effective and safe way to improve the shape and increase the volume of a woman’s breasts, to recreate them or return to their previous shapes.

There are many different types of silicone breast augmentation implants. The shape and size of endoprostheses are extremely varied. At the same time, implants of two shapes are most often used - round (spherical)

and anatomical, drop-shaped.

The choice of a specific model is made by a plastic surgeon, taking into account the wishes of the patient and the size of her chest.

Are silicone implants safe?

In medicine, silicone is used for a range of products: probes, catheters, coverings for puncture needles and pacemakers, gloves and wound dressings. The process for producing silicone polymers was first patented in 1958. Silicone - produced in the form of silicone elastomer, silicone gel and silicone oil. Currently, silicone gel is used as filling materials for implants.

Modern implants filled with cohesive silicone gel are considered the best for breast augmentation. Silicone gel has a so-called “memory effect”, i.e. always takes the given form. When the prosthesis is cut, it is clear that it is a soft substance that is stable, i.e. If the outer shell of the implant is damaged, the gel does not spread.

When palpated and displaced, its consistency imitates breast tissue.

All European countries have a Directive on the use of medical devices, according to which international quality standards for the production of this type of product have been developed. Materials, development, production, sterilization and packaging of this type of product are regulated by strict rules.

This issue has been studied in a large number of comprehensive studies, as a result of which it was concluded that breast cancer is no more common in women with breast implants than in women without implants. Endoprostheses do not have any effect on the incidence of breast cancer. There have been no cases of breast cancer caused by smooth, textured or micropolyurethane implants in humans or in animal studies. Additional medical studies have not shown any connection between silicone breast implants and known autoimmune diseases.

What are the dangers of changes, besides a cosmetic defect?

Small breasts, breast asymmetry, breast changes after feeding are not pathological changes that affect health.

You can often hear a woman argue that “since nature has given, so be it,” but a large number of girls experience significant discomfort in communicating with the opposite sex, dreading the transition of relationships from the “candy-bouquet” period to closer, often avoiding them. Lack of confidence carries over into other aspects of life, affecting both business and personal life.

Is it possible to have surgery before pregnancy?

Breast augmentation surgery can be performed before pregnancy. Silicone implants do not affect feeding or the process of breast milk formation. It is recommended to become pregnant no earlier than 1 year after breast surgery. This is due to the fact that the healing process and achievement of the final result takes at least 6 months, and sometimes even 1 year. Pregnancy and subsequent breastfeeding change the outcome of the operation, its evaluation becomes impossible. If pregnancy is planned after an indefinite period of time, then it must be remembered that the result of the operation after the end of pregnancy or breastfeeding may differ from the original one. Mammoplasty with the installation of silicone implants better preserves the shape of the breast after breastfeeding than non-operated breasts and requires less correction. According to the European Committee for Guarantee and Quality Control of Plastic Surgery Products (EQUAM), silicone implants do not cause side effects during pregnancy, fetal development or breastfeeding. Surgical techniques for installing prostheses during breast augmentation are currently gentle, that is, they do not affect or minimally affect the breast tissue.

Is the operation performed on men?

The operation is performed on men only after undergoing full training from an endocrinologist and obtaining permission from a special medical commission.

What are the indications for surgery?

Restoring breast volume and shape after pregnancy.

Hypomastia (reduction) and amastia (absence) of the mammary glands.

Condition after mastectomy (removal of mammary glands)

A slight degree of ptosis (sagging) of the mammary glands.

Condition after various operations that led to a decrease in the volume of the mammary glands

Are there any contraindications for performing the operation?

  • oncological diseases and tumor processes in the mammary gland;
  • pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • chronic diseases during periods of exacerbation or decompensation;
  • acute diseases (even herpes rashes on the lip are already a contraindication);
  • blood diseases, disorders of blood coagulation properties;

What preparation is required before surgery?

Ask your doctor everything you want to know. Prepare for your conversation with your doctor by thinking through all your questions. It is very important that you make your own informed decision before undergoing surgery.

You need to do laboratory tests and undergo consultations with the necessary specialists (mammologist, therapist, anesthesiologist). During consultations, it is necessary to inform about existing diseases and reactions to medications, allergic characteristics of your body, as well as about medications that you regularly take. In the preoperative period, it is often necessary to stop taking medications that reduce blood clotting. These include acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin), heparin, fraxiparin.

Breast augmentation surgery is mentally and psychologically stressful, and therefore the patient should be well rested before the operation. It is also advisable to take vitamins before breast augmentation surgery and eat well, eating enough meat, fruits and vegetables. At least two weeks before breast augmentation surgery, smokers are advised to quit smoking altogether. It is imperative to avoid taking oral contraceptives 2 months before surgery. It is recommended to avoid alcohol before and after breast surgery. The evening or morning before breast augmentation surgery, the patient should thoroughly wash his body and hair.

On the day of breast augmentation surgery, it is advisable to avoid using cosmetics and lotions, and remove nail polish. Since mammoplasty is performed under anesthesia, on the day of breast augmentation surgery a light breakfast or coffee or tea 3 hours before hospitalization is sufficient. Avoid excessive food consumption at dinner the night before.

Before breast surgery, the patient is photographed and the necessary markings are applied with a marker.

How is the operation selected?

At the choice of the surgeon and the patient, implants are installed through three main accesses (incisions): in the fold under the breast, in the armpit area and along the edge of the areola.

During breast augmentation, the implant should be located under the pectoralis major muscle (subpectoral or submuscular).

How is the operation performed?

The operation – mammoplasty, breast augmentation surgery is performed under general anesthesia, which means you will sleep during the entire operation.

The length of the incision does not exceed 4-5 cm.

After making the incision, lifting the covering tissue, the surgeon forms a so-called pocket where the implant will be installed.

An implant is inserted into the created “pocket”,

then absorbable sutures are applied to the glandular tissue,

on the skin - a cosmetic stitch.

For one day, a thin and elastic tube (drainage) is installed to remove the resulting fluid.

At the end of the operation, a sterile bandage is applied and special compression garments are put on.

How is the postoperative period going?

All healing processes last up to 6 months, but even earlier when undergoing rehabilitation measures. After breast augmentation, you must wear special compression garments for 2 months, removing them in the first month only for dressings and for showering, and also wash them if necessary.

After breast surgery, in the first few hours after surgery, the patient may experience pain, which is usually relieved with painkillers. Also, at first, the breasts may be very sensitive to touch, and movements may remain painful. In the near future after mammoplasty, the pain subsides to a large extent, and taking painkillers is sufficient. A maximum of 4-5 days after breast augmentation surgery, the pain usually disappears, although the breasts are still sensitive to touch. Some patients experience pain when moving their arms or touching their breasts for several weeks, which is not abnormal. Immediately after breast augmentation surgery, your breasts may feel numb and swollen, but this sensation will decrease as the weeks go by. Since the implant is placed under the pectoral muscle, the upper part of the breast will look overly full immediately after surgery, but after 4-6 months the breast will take its final shape.

You can usually wash no earlier than the 14th day after surgery, in the shower. For 14 days, it is prohibited to perform any physical activity with your hands, including driving a car. It is also forbidden to actively raise your arms above your shoulders, especially sharply. After 2 weeks, you can perform normal household activities on your arms and lift them.

Sports activities can be resumed with caution no earlier than 2 months after breast augmentation surgery, and then gradually increase the load.

1 year after mammoplasty, the scar is practically invisible.

The patient is discharged from the hospital the next day. The bandage and stitches are removed on the 10th day after surgery. It is forbidden to massage the breasts for 2 months, or visit the bathhouse, sauna, or swimming pool during the same time.

What rehabilitation products and medications are taken after surgery?

In the postoperative period, painkillers are prescribed until the pain disappears, an antibiotic for 5-7 days, and for better healing, the wound healing agent Cellgel is applied to the sutures. It is also recommended to undergo a rehabilitation course to reduce swelling and bruising - individual physiotherapeutic procedures are prescribed. To form an inconspicuous scar after the crusts come off, silicone gel or patch is used for 2 months. Various cosmetics are also recommended to maintain skin elasticity and moisture.

Are there any side effects or complications after surgery?

Almost any girl, especially a thin one with a thin subcutaneous fat layer, will be able to feel the edges of any implant after surgery. This is not a disadvantage - you will simply stop noticing it. Naturalness largely depends on the shape and size of the implant, as well as on your own characteristics. Such concepts as “large” or “small” breasts, “ideal breasts” or “ugly” shape, “natural” or “unnatural” degree of softness are very individual. All of these issues should be discussed with the operating surgeon to make the best decision when choosing an implant.

Implants are much more durable and less susceptible to age-related changes than your own tissue. It should be remembered that with age, under the influence of the weight of any implants, your own tissues can stretch (this depends on many factors, which are almost impossible to predict), and some kind of correction may be required, including replacing the implant. A written guarantee is included with each implant box and is issued upon purchase. Implants do not require replacement, provided that nothing bothers you and you are satisfied with the appearance of your breasts.

Side effects include: discomfort and pain when moving, a feeling of “swelling” of the mammary glands, a sensation of a foreign body, infiltrates (compactions) of the mammary gland tissue. All these symptoms go away after some time. Complications can be divided into early and late. Early ones include bleeding and hematoma formation, infections, and implant displacement. The probability of such complications is less than 3%. Late contractures (appearing after 6 months or more) include capsular contracture (compression of the scar around the implant), which worsens the achieved result and always requires surgical correction (capsulotomy or replacement of the prosthesis).

Is it possible to diagnose cancer in the presence of implants?

Mammography makes it possible to determine the presence and location of a tumor. The use of a special method allows mammography to be performed in women with breast implants. Modern techniques, such as sonography, nuclear magnetic resonance, computed tomography, make it possible to diagnose tumors in the early stages of development, regardless of the presence of an endoprosthesis.

Thanks to the improved quality of implant shells and the consistency of the gel, it is now possible (unlike previous generations of prostheses) to detect only minor traces of gel in the connective tissue of the capsule. These traces of gel remain within the connective tissue of the capsule.

How long are implants installed for breast augmentation?

Modern endoprostheses used for breast augmentation are bioinert and do not enter into any biochemical interaction with surrounding tissues. The fact that the guarantee for maintaining the integrity of the shell of prostheses from most manufacturers is provided for life indicates that within a human life, aging of the shell due to natural factors is unlikely and not dangerous. Mechanical rubbing of folds on the shell (if they form) is possible, but such phenomena are very rare for the textured (porous) shell, which most implants currently used have. Therefore, there is no reason to replace implants at any time after breast augmentation surgery for fear of possible rupture due to aging. You can wear them for life if you are satisfied with the aesthetics of your breasts and there are no other indications for re-operation.

Mammoplasty is a breast augmentation surgery using silicone implants. How to enlarge breasts in Tyumen? How to enlarge the mammary glands? How to make breasts beautiful? How to get perfect breasts? What to do if you have small breasts? Does breast enlargement cream help? Breasts after breastfeeding – mammoplasty or breast augmentation? Breast augmentation and breast surgery not only allow you to achieve the desired volume of the mammary glands, but also solve many psychological problems associated with small breasts. Breast augmentation is often performed simultaneously with operations such as breast lift, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), liposuction, lipolysis.
