Correction of the nasal septum: preparation and tests

Before septoplasty, the otolaryngologist will prescribe x-rays and other instrumental studies, the necessary tests, including a general clinical analysis of blood and urine, blood clotting tests and other studies.

Septoplasty of the nasal septum is contraindicated if:

allergic rhinitis in the acute stage;
ARVI or bacterial infection;
intolerance to drugs for general or local anesthesia;
pregnancy and lactation.

Surgery to correct the nasal septum requires preparation. It is recommended to avoid crowded places to avoid infection with ARVI.
