Today, many say that the culprits of the distorted concept of beauty are gloss and social networks. But there have always been made-up standards! For a very long time, ideas of ancient beauty have been promoted in the world: the concepts of “Greek nose” and “aristocratic pallor” appeared many millennia before Instagram. — Why did you go on a reality show?
— I didn’t plan it, but I went because my good friend Artem, who is also from Penza, told me about the casting. He asked to come with him for company and support him. When they came to the casting area, I realized that I was interested in this and wanted to find out what the jury would think of me and what questions they would ask, I wanted to feel how it all goes from the inside. As a result, Artem did not pass, since his young age was not suitable for participation in the project, and I was called for the next interview. So, stage by stage, I became involved in the process, and a desire appeared to go to the end. Soon the organizer of the reality show called me and said that tickets had already been purchased for me to Mexico and that I needed to fly out soon. I literally had one day to pack my things. By nature, I am a homebody and therefore doubted, I did not understand why I needed this at all, but my parents decided that it would be a useful experience for me and the project would make me more independent.
— What was life like on the project?
— The project had many advantages, but also disadvantages. Among the advantages: firstly, this is a unique experience, since communicating and being in the same perimeter with the same people begins to depress. Secondly, I felt like I was in a camp. There were fewer worries than in ordinary life, and a lot of interesting things happened. The downsides are constant monitoring and a difficult atmosphere.
— What were the nuances that the TV viewer doesn’t know?
— What viewers saw on the screen and the life that was in Mexico are different in many ways. There was no corner for privacy at all. You couldn’t close yourself somewhere and be alone with yourself. The beach, where we supposedly were constantly, was prohibited for us. We rarely went out to see him, and only to film several takes on different days. They often showed us going to a club, but in reality they only played 6 songs for us and they were always the same ones. The phones were confiscated immediately upon arrival, so there was not enough communication with the outside world, especially conversations with parents. Sometimes we had competitions, the main prize of which was a minute of telephone conversation with family.
— Was your relationship with Pavel the Enemy on the project sincere or fictitious?
— Sincere. At first, I didn’t understand at all how you could build a relationship with a person from a limited number of people. Nobody had much of a choice. I wouldn’t be able to go against my heart, I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep with a person for whom I have no feelings. As soon as I saw him for the first time, I realized that I wanted to be with him. Outwardly, I really liked him, and then he revealed himself as a wonderful person. We had a close relationship, it couldn’t be called easy. By the end of the project, the relationship had outlived its usefulness, and when filming ended, I realized that I could not have a future with Pasha. He could not give me the life to which I am accustomed. We communicate well now, but warm feelings still remain.
— Did you ever have a desire to leave the project?
— Yes, but I couldn’t just give up, so I went through all the difficulties and reached the end of the season. Living under the radar of cameras is difficult, but I was able to build strong, sincere and beautiful relationships. We were not paid for participating in the project, and there was no script either. We just lived and made each other happy, but there are no quarrels either. I am grateful to the project for a lot; I got a lucky ticket the moment I got there.
— What was your life like after the project?
— Life after the project has not changed at all. Participation only added to my fans and recognition. When the reality show ended and I returned to Moscow, I was depressed for several months. I practically couldn’t leave the house; people pointed at me everywhere and asked me to take a photo. I was disgusted that people saw me not as a person, but as a picture from TV. Now this has become better, now they don’t pester me like that anymore. I continue to act in videos, take photographs and do organizational activities. I'm currently working on a franchise. Very soon you will be able to see my joint project with one of the companies. But my main desire remains to create a strong family, my own little world, in which there will be no strangers except my loved ones.

— Would you go to the project again?
— I wouldn’t return to the project, but I don’t regret my participation. Now I’m not ready to go through this again, although four years have passed. I realized how valuable human freedom is. We make our own choices and follow the chosen path. This is the main happiness.
