Katkov Alexander Lazarevich
After graduating from the Alma-Ata State Medical Institute (Faculty of Medicine) in 1978, he completed a one-year internship in psychiatry, and from 1979 he worked at the Kustanai Regional Psychiatric Hospital as a resident physician, head of the department, and deputy chief physician for medical treatment. work, chief physician.
Since 2001 By 2013 worked at the Republican State Enterprise "Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Medical and Social Problems of Drug Addiction" as deputy director for scientific and clinical work, director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Medical Psychotherapy, head of the department of psychotherapy, psychiatry - narcology, clinical and counseling psychology of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Medical and Social Problems.
From December 2013 to the present, he has been working as the rector of the International Institute of Social Psychotherapy (St. Petersburg).
In 1996 he defended his Ph.D. thesis.
In 1998, he defended his doctoral dissertation in two specialties: “psychiatry” and “social hygiene and healthcare organization.”
Since 2003 A. L. Katkov is an official consultant and expert of the UNODC on drug addiction issues (epidemiology, prevention, psychotherapy, rehabilitation) in the countries of Central Asia.
Since 2004, he has been vice-president of the All-Russian Professional Psychotherapeutic League; and since 2013 Chairman of the Committees on Legislative Initiatives and Science of the OPPL.
Psychotherapist of the Unified Register of Professional Psychotherapists in Europe since 2000; holder of the World Certificate of Psychotherapist - since 2008; official teacher and supervisor of OPPL practice.
Katkov A.L. is the editor-in-chief of the Kazakh-Russian scientific and practical journal “Issues of mental medicine and ecology” (Moscow - Pavlodar) and the scientific and practical journal “Issues of Narcology of Kazakhstan” (Kazakhstan, Pavlodar), and is also a member of the editorial board and the editorial board of scientific journals in Russia: “Psychotherapy” (Russia, Moscow), “Siberian Bulletin of Psychiatry and Narcology” (Russia, Tomsk, Research Institute of Mental Health, TSC SB RAMS).
