How it works
The deep fractional ablation procedure includes several mechanisms of action:
- A thin laser beam evaporates thin columns throughout the entire depth of the skin, i.e., a certain amount of skin is completely removed, usually from 5 to 25%.
- At the same time, the laser beam heats the deep layers of the dermis. Proteins - collagen and elastin - undergo denaturation and decrease in volume. Both of these effects contribute to immediate skin lifting.
- The third mechanism that promotes skin tightening is delayed in time. The heat of the laser beam activates fibroblasts - connective tissue cells, they wake up and begin their work with diligence. Fibroblasts remove old, destroyed collagen and synthesize young collagen, so you will see a pronounced effect from the rejuvenation procedure approximately six months after the procedure.
