It is also formed in the body of humans and animals during the breakdown of fats. Crotonic acid has an unpleasant pungent odor from sweat. It is a weak acid with a pronounced irritant effect, which, if the concentration is incorrect, can lead to disastrous consequences.

Crotonic acid has the following effects on the skin:

And on the websites they also add plankton extract, phenol and biosulfur to this list! Question: who to believe - advertising slogans or what is written on the label? In general, this moment is alarming: who wants to deceive whom? There is definitely a smell of carbolic acid - I know firsthand how it “phonates” (I had to work with it). Maybe the manufacturer decided to hide this fact, because in theory phenol is not particularly welcome in cosmetic products?
